Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Clebert Labs (“we”, “us”) for the KeepChat Chrome extension and this website. By installing KeepChat or buying KeepChat Pro, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use KeepChat.
2. The service
KeepChat adds folders, a prompt library and search to ChatGPT at chatgpt.com in Google Chrome. Your data is stored in your browser, so you’re responsible for your own copies of it. If you uninstall KeepChat or clear your browser data, your folders and prompts are removed and we can’t recover them.
3. Free and Pro plans
The Free plan includes up to 5 folders (subfolders count toward that total), up to 10 saved prompts, and unlimited chats in your folders. KeepChat Pro removes the folder and prompt limits. Pro is available as a monthly subscription ($6.99 per month), a yearly subscription ($49 per year) or a one-time lifetime license ($79). Prices are in US dollars and may not include taxes that apply where you live.
If Pro ends, nothing you saved is deleted. You keep all your folders, chats and prompts, but you can’t create new ones beyond the Free limits.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Payments are processed by Stripe. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged the then-current price until you cancel. If we change the price of your plan, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it and emails you so you can update your card. Pro stays active for up to 14 days while the payment is retried. If the payment hasn’t gone through by then, KeepChat returns to the Free plan until it does, and if Stripe can’t collect it at all, the subscription ends. Your data isn’t affected.
Managing your subscription. With a monthly or yearly plan, the KeepChat plan screen has a Manage subscription button. It opens a confirmation page on our license server and, when you click Continue to Stripe, Stripe’s customer portal, where you can cancel your subscription, update your payment method and see or download your invoices. Your license email has the same link. With a lifetime license, the button is View receipt and opens your Stripe receipt. To change between monthly, yearly and lifetime, email support@keepchat.app.br.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel a subscription at any time with Manage subscription in KeepChat, which opens Stripe’s customer portal (see Managing your subscription), or by emailing support@keepchat.app.br from the address you used at checkout. After you cancel, you won’t be charged again and you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelling doesn’t by itself give you a refund for the current period. See Refunds.
6. Lifetime licenses
A lifetime license is a single payment for KeepChat Pro with no renewals. “Lifetime” means for as long as we offer KeepChat. It isn’t tied to your lifetime or ours. It covers the Pro features and the updates we release for KeepChat. If we ever discontinue KeepChat, we’ll give at least 90 days’ notice on this website. Versions you already have installed keep working with the features they offer, subject to changes made by Google Chrome or ChatGPT that are outside our control. A lifetime license is personal and can’t be transferred or resold.
7. Refunds
If KeepChat Pro isn’t right for you, email support@keepchat.app.br within 14 days of your first purchase and we’ll refund it in full, no questions asked. This applies to the first payment for a monthly, yearly or lifetime plan. Renewals aren’t refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future charges (see Cancellation).
When a purchase is refunded in full, its license is deactivated and KeepChat returns to the Free plan without deleting your data. For a monthly or yearly plan, the refund also cancels the subscription right away, so it won’t renew. The same happens if a payment is disputed with your bank or card issuer. Nothing in these terms limits any refund rights you have under the law where you live.
8. Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use KeepChat. With Pro, your license key is for you. Use it in your own Chrome profiles on your own computers. Don’t share, publish, resell or transfer your key. We may deactivate keys that are shared publicly or used in ways that suggest they’re being shared.
KeepChat checks your license about once a day. If it can’t reach our server, Pro keeps working for up to 14 days, after which the Free limits apply until the license is confirmed again. Your data isn’t affected.
9. Acceptable use
Don’t reverse engineer, resell or redistribute KeepChat. Don’t try to bypass the license check, interfere with our servers, or use KeepChat to break the law or ChatGPT’s or OpenAI’s terms. You remain responsible for how you use ChatGPT and for the content you create with it.
10. Relationship with OpenAI
KeepChat is an independent product. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI. ChatGPT and OpenAI are trademarks of OpenAI. KeepChat works with ChatGPT’s website as it is today. If OpenAI changes ChatGPT, some features may stop working until we release an update. We’ll do our best to keep up but can’t guarantee it.
11. Disclaimer
KeepChat is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that KeepChat will be uninterrupted or error-free or that it will never lose data. Please keep your own copies of anything important.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim related to KeepChat is limited to the amount you paid us for KeepChat in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Termination
You can stop using KeepChat at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or deactivate a license that breaks these terms. If we do this without cause, we’ll refund the unused part of a paid subscription period, or a fair share of a lifetime license.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, except where the law where you live gives you rights that can’t be waived.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects paying customers, we’ll email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use KeepChat after a change means you accept it.
